What’s a typical day as a Material Handler? You’ll be:
• Receiving incoming supplies and materials
• Verifying type, counting items, and reporting any discrepancies found
• Performing cycle counting and sorting, counting, and storing materials and supplies
• Operating a computer terminal to enter information concerning goods received and stock count changes
• Participating in periodic and special inventories
• Filling orders and issuing supplies and materials from stock
• Making proper stock record entries
• Preparing kits of necessary parts and materials
• Affixing correct identifying codes/part numbers to parts and sub-assemblies
• Breaking up large/bulk orders into smaller units and bagging parts as required
• Working with various hand tools, electronic scale, computer, tape, hand carts, dollies, hand truck, wrapping paper, storage shelves and bins, and related tools and stockroom facilities
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Have 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Have knowledge of inventory control
• Have an understanding of Microsoft Office and Windows
