DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Material Handler, you will handle and maintain the flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. You will operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. You will report to an Operations Planning Manager and work onsite in Springdale, PA.
Main Responsibilities:* Uses fork truck to move drums/totes/pallets of chemicals* Pours samples of chemicals to distribute to labs.* Preassembles chemical for use in production batches, verifying quantities and shelf life.* Unloads tank wagons of chemicals* Unloads inbound raw materials.* Labels and puts them away.* Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:* High School Diploma required* Attention to detail* Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (fork truck/pallet jack/etc.)* Able and willing to wear a respirator and other PPE* Basic computer operation skills* Be able to complete outdoor work in all weather* Ability to works as a team and be able to work unsupervised, with personal accountability and reliability
Preferred:* Previous fork truck experience* Previous shipping experience* ERP experience* DOT certification/or willingness to get it.* Interest in advancing in a shipping/receiving role
