XPO Logistics are looking for a HR and Payroll Administrator (Maternity cover) for our customer site in Widnes. Are you looking to kickstart your HR career or build on your current experience but are not getting anywhere? We have an opportunity that will solve your problem.
To provide HR and payroll support to nominated sites, as directed on a range of people relatedmatters, including payroll inputting, recruitment and employee relations.

We are looking to offer a salary of up to £25,000 per annum. Also, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) – pro rata and the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to:
Supporting sites and wider payroll stakeholder group with payroll data inputting and reporting
Impart knowledge and understanding of payroll data reporting to sites and the payroll team
Analyse and reconcile payroll data
Identify omissions and errors in data and escalate to the payroll team for corrective action
To provide admin support in relation to raising P/O's in SAP and Coupa for operational items (subcon & agency in the main), Stationary orders, Uniform orders and PPE / Arco & 'consumable' items
To provide admin support in preparing standard letters / documents for AMP, disciplinaries and grievances
Ensure company standards, policies and procedures are effective and are implemented on a consistent basis across the site
Maintaining sites personnel files
Provide input into HR projects and changes in HR policy and practice
Provide consistent and professional HR Services in line with Company objectives
Any other duties required by the business deemed suitable and necessary.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Understanding payroll processing
Understanding of HR policies and practices
Knowledge of the Transport industry would be desirable
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Strong presentation and training skills
Ability to investigate and solve problems quickly and effectively
Ability to work autonomously and effectively under high levels of pressure
Flexible with regards to working extra hours and travel as and when required
Relevant degree or degree level education would be desirable
Previous HR / Payroll experience
Previous experience of working within the Transport sector would be desirable
CIPD desirable
