Job Description Department: Spa Job Title: Massage Therapist Job Code: 5121805 Reports to: Spa Director Job Purpose: This team member is responsible for guest satisfaction in the Idlewild Spa by performing services to the best of their ability and maintaining Omni standards throughout all procedures. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: To work as part of the spa therapy team to consistently provide the highest possible standard of treatment, creating an elevated, sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives. Supports new Omni Safe and Clean Protocols throughout the spa to support Omni's sanitation protocols. Responsible for stocking / setting up and re-setting the treatment rooms according to Opening and Closing Operational Checklists. Removal of dirty linens in a timely manner. Maintain sanitation of work area and equipment as required by state board guidelines. Ensure all professional stock is being used in compliance with the PAR levels to assist with reduction in product waste. To begin and end treatments at the published time and ensure correct procedures of all treatments are being followed at all times. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment. Ensure all guests depart with a completed Professional Recommendation Form after each and every service. Strive to consistently encourage upgrades and produce a minimum of 10% in retail sales per day / week/ month. Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings. Perform all services for which training has been received in the allotted period and without personal interpretation of the treatment application. Report any maintenance problems throughout the spa to the proper authority. Stay current and educated with new treatments and products in the Spa industry. Must maintain client and spa business confidentiality/privacy at all times. Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines. Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention. Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management. Physical Requirements: Follow all aspects of job safety. Stand and/or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Able to execute proper body mechanics to reduce fatigue, overuse, or injury. Requires repetitive motion, with consistent use of hands and arms. Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds with frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting. Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience in massage therapy preferably in an upscale salon or spa. Proficient skills in traditional and modern forms of massage.
