JOB TITLE: Masonry Worker MULTIPLE WORKSITES: Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Morrow, Pickaway, Richland and Union counties.NUMBER OF OPENINGS: 10
JOB DESCRIPTION: : Masonry Worker. 10 temporary/full-time positions from 4/1/2024 - 12/20/2024. Masonry Workers typically perform a variety of tasks by using tools, Mason trowel; 4-foot mason level; 25-foot tape measure; Brick hammer; Utility knife; Tin snips; 7-inch horsehair bench brush; and Concave striking iron. The responsibilities may include any combination of the following: Spread mortar; Lay block and brick to the line; Build block leads using a level; Install rebar; Grout block cores; Install thru wall flashing; Install cavity wall insulation; Install veneer ties; Set stone (cast stone & natural stone); Install cultured stone and grout joints; Make saw cuts; Strike mortar joints; Rub & patch block walls in preparation for paint; Grind deteriorated mortar joints and point with new mortar; Power wash and clean masonry veneer; Erect & dismantle frame scaffolding; Mix mortar; Stock scaffold with masonry materials; Clean up masonry debris and trash; and General job site housekeeping.
REQUIREMENTS: Must lift/carry 50lb, when necessary. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire at random, upon suspicion of use, and post-accident. Post-hire background check and employment eligibility (e-Verify) check required of foreign and domestic workers. Ability to perform physically-demanding work for a full 8-hour shift outside in all weather conditions. Requires 3 months of masonry experience.

WAGE OFFER: $30.92 per hour paid weekly / Overtime $46.38 per hour
All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES
BOARD, LODGING, OR FRINGE BENEFITS If requested, employer helps non-local workers secure optional worker-paid lodging (not to exceed fair market value, based on number of occupants; cost TBD). Housing costs paid directly to landlord and are not payroll deducted.
DAILY TRANSPORTATION (OPTIONAL) Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location. Employer will then provide each work crew with daily transportation among the worksite locations.
FIRST WORKWEEK GUARANTEE Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visas, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
Inbound / Outbound Transportation and Subsistence If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
