In this vital role the Marketing Senior Manager for Cardiovascular (Repatha) will not only have a significant impact on the continued and future success of our US Cardiovascular business at Amgen, but also the lives the CV patients that can benefit from Repatha treatment.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing critical communication strategy and tactics to help deliver on Amgen’s vision to drive positive impact on Cardiovascular space through CV Leadership. This role will be developing and executing through in-depth understanding of patients and HCPs to shape a cohesive communication plan to build Cardiovascular and LDL-C disease state awareness, drive deeper brand engagement and ultimately drive patients and HCPs to take action in treating their condition to help reduce CV risk.
As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the Cardiovascular LDL-C Disease State Education communication strategy, ensuring the development and implementation of creative content, media investment, patient CRM journey and a robust measurement framework. This position involves managing a fully integrated initiative that targets a diverse audience, including patients, healthcare professionals, the general population, and multicultural patients.
Responsibilities:
Develop and lead the Disease State Education communication strategy to effectively convey key messages to target audiences- patients and HCPs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.
Oversee the development of creative and breakthrough content that resonates with the target audience. Ensure consistency of messaging across various channels and touchpoints.
Lead the development and execution of media investment strategies to maximize reach and engagement, in partnership with Global Media team
In collaboration with media and research partners, establish a robust measurement framework to evaluate the impact and success of marketing initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to internal stakeholders, adjusting strategies and initiatives as needed.
Lead a fully integrated multichannel DSE campaigns to drive engagement with Hispanic patient population.
Spearhead the development of a best-in-class website, serving as a meaningful platform for engagement. Collaborate with internal teams (Medical, Corporate Communication, Patient Advocacy) and external vendors to ensure a seamless user experience.
Lead LDL-C Testing Initiatives including implementation, issue resolution and partners management.
Lead patient DSE CRM email journey- implement strategies to personalize and optimize email communications for maximum impact.
Manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable responsible and compliant HCP communications.
Manage budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost-effective delivery of all programs.

Domestic travel up to 20%.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
Associate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong marketing acumen with a solid grasp of marketing strategy, market research, segmentation, brand positioning, and tactical plan development.
Experience developing and executing a wide range of successful online and offline tactics, including Video, digital, print, video, and CRM.
Translating market research into effective consumer campaigns or programs. Previous experience with clinical data a plus.
Exhibiting passion and empathy to build meaningful experiences with consumers by understanding their needs and desires.
Experience working with advertising agencies to develop and produce engaging creative.
Strong bias for action and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to exercise strong judgment and live up to the highest ethical standards.
Excellent communication skills and self-awareness of leadership style
Ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization.
Experience marketing directly to consumers, with a preference for pharmaceutical or regulated consumer goods or services.
