The Civic Intern will work with the Strategic Sector Manager (SSM), Directors of Civic and Justice, Sector Global Director (Global) and Communications (COMM) team to ensure the overall vision of the program is consistent both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Program Management
Civic Sector Research - work with SSM and Directors on industry research that supports the development of the Civic sector business development priorities and initiatives.
Research Capital Improvement Plans (CIPs) in identified States, Counties, and markets and compile detailed reports on funding initiatives back to SSM and Directors. Directors and SSM will coordinate activities and information with all offices.
Research organizational structures and key decision makers for identified clients/departments/agencies for general knowledge and potential distribution lists.
Civic Sector Presentations - work with SSM to develop topics, schedules and internal presentations to the sector (Bi-Monthly Webinars, Sector Updates, etc.)
Executive Committee Presentations - work with SSM and Directors to develop content as required. Liaise with Architecture Marketing Studio (AMS) as needed.
Assist SSM and Directors with gathering publicly available proposals and interview information from competitors as well as research meeting minutes when directed.
Assist BD and AMS teams with gathering information for Civic sector pursuits, including pulling past projects, proofreading, gathering images and content, etc.
Other presentations - develop content for special/specific presentations such as capture plans, strategic plans, external presentations, onboarding presentations, etc.
Marketing Budget / Spend Reports - work with SSM to update marketing budgets / spending reports as needed.
Communications
Internal/External Announcements - assist Communications Specialist and SSM with internal and external announcements as necessary.
Writing - assist Communications Specialist and SSM with writing (i.e., insights, articles, project pages, etc.).
Strategic Initiatives
Strategic Initiatives - assist as needed with information gathering/research, communications and strategic pursuits for Global, SSM, and Directors.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
* Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Marketing, Business, Political Science, English, or Architecture program
* Attention to detail a must
* Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Basic Microsoft Office skills
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
* Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
* Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
* Ability to organize complex information in order to formulate specific strategies

The expected compensation range for this position in
New York City is $18-$23 an hour
Denver is $18-$23 an hour
San Diego is $22-$24 an hour
depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
