Our goal is to reflect the diversity of our clients and the communities in which we practice.What You Will Be Doing:Writes, edits and manages the development of marketing collateral, including internal and external web content, social media content, email newsletters and client alerts, and other print and electronic materials.Proactively supports internal and external client service by displaying professionalism via email, over the telephone and in person, and by encouraging an atmosphere that rewards a "can do" attitude.About the Role:Manages the development of external electronic and print marketing communications materials (including web pages, legal practice descriptions, lawyer bios, etc.) from inception to completion. Organizes and conducts kickoff meetings with all key participants. Serves a journalistic role by writing original text, working with lawyer or appropriate contact. Incorporates branding and firm positioning in text. Posts content to external website.Processes blogs, client alerts, lateral hire announcements and other email communications and distributes emails via email management tool.Updates and posts web content, including lawyer bios, practice descriptions, events and more.Works with other team members to draft and post to firm's social media accounts.Writes, edits and distributes/posts internal communications materials, including articles for the internal firm website.Drafts other content as needed for marketing and business development use.Communicates stylistic and grammatical editorial suggestions with senior members of the department, working closely with Communications and PR Manager to enforce editing and style standards for all firm marketing materials.Works with Communications and PR Manager to develop internal and external marketing communications campaigns and other special projects.Works with key lawyers, marketing reviewers, business development reviewers and others as needed to get final approval of drafted text.Establishes project schedule based on current workload and requirements of specific projects.Reviews initial and all revised layout drafts from Visual Communications to ensure full text, proper text styles and text accuracy.Ensures client consents have been obtained for any client reference.Required SkillsWhat You Will Bring:Superior oral and written communications skills required.Experience with CMS and email management systems, and comfort with learning new technology platforms required.Highly organized, detail oriented and able to coordinate complex content development and approval process required.Experienced using and referring to The Chicago Manual of Style, and comfortable making firm-wide stylistic recommendations required.Strong multitasking and project management skills and demonstrated abilities to handle multiple projects at a time and tight deadlines required.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team required.Required ExperienceEducation:BA/BS required.Experience:3+ years of experience as a copywriter, journalist, content marketing or corporate communications professional required.Experience working for a publication or in a
