　　Position Summary:

　　Responsible for organizing and directing the operation of Diagnostic Imaging areas as assigned by Director. Assures competency of all personnel. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.

　　Reports to:Director of Imaging

　　_Responsibilities of the Position_

　　Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel.Takes x - ray calls according to monthly schedule after the closing of the regular department hours.Minimum Education

　　High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

　　Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program is required.

　　Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

　　Licenses: Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist is required.

　　Required Skills

　　Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

　　Demonstrates excellence in the performance of Radiographic exams, interaction with patients, and leadership skills.

　　Minimum Work Experience

　　Two years of hospital experience is required.

　　Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
