Your role: TheManufacturing Operator 1 at MilliporeSigmawill produce and purifychemical compounds to meet the needs of our customers by completing thefollowing tasks on a daily basis: Produce and purify chemical compoundsto meet the requirements of MilliporeSigmacustomers Stage materialsoperating a variety of warehouse equipment Basic operation of vessels,tanks, dryers, and other related equipment Perform in-process analyticaltesting including work-ups and simple interpretations asdescribed in theMaster Production Record Perform distillations, filtrations, andextractions to isolate and purify product Follow and support all safetyand quality procedures and systems Shift/Hours/Schedule: 3rd shift,10:00PM - 6:30 AM, Sunday - Thursday Physical Attributes: Wear an air helmet,respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protectivesuitsand gloves, safety glasses and goggles to protect from toxic orcorrosive chemicals Work in an occasional wet, humid or abnormally hotor cold environment Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop,kneel, twist, or crouch for long periodsof time Lift andmove50 poundsWork with and in proximity of hazardous chemicals Use close vision,distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision andtheability to adjust focus Use a range of office, laboratory, andmanufacturing equipment Work near moving mechanical parts Who you are:Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED PreferredQualifications: Associate\'s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or otherscience discipline Prior industrial work experience or chemical handlingexperience Strong mechanical proficiency Mathematical skills Excellentoral and written communication skills Ability to read and understandwritten protocols Understand chemical reactions and hazards UnderstandISO and quality systems What we offer: We are curious minds that comefrom a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.We celebrate all dimensions of diversity and believe that it drivesexcellence and innovation, strengthening our ability to lead in scienceand technology.
