Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician III at Jabil, you'll ensure the smooth operation of medical device reprocessing lines by providing equipment support, conducting preventive maintenance, and resolving issues. Collaborating with Manufacturing Engineers and Production Operators, your role contributes to achieving optimal process performance. Ideal candidates possess an associate degree, three to five years of relevant experience, and expertise in electronic circuitry, controllers, and mechanical systems, especially in the medical industry within an FDA and ISO environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive equipment and process support, including machine maintenance, for medical device reprocessing lines.
Conduct preventive maintenance on assigned line(s) as needed.
Perform maintenance and repairs on all equipment within assigned line(s).
Identify and address necessary machine repairs promptly; conduct out-of-cycle maintenance as required.
Diagnose equipment issues on assigned line(s), executing repairs within skill level, and escalate complex problems to Manufacturing Engineers when needed.
Offer ongoing education to Production Operators on assigned line(s) regarding operations and failures as necessary.
Collaborate with fellow technicians as required.
Assist Manufacturing Engineers in achieving optimal process performance by measuring, optimizing equipment performance, monitoring trends, and gathering production feedback.
Provide recommendations for designing, fabricating, and modifying necessary tooling, as well as suggesting product design for manufacturability (DFM) improvements.
Observe machinery, determine necessary steps for achieving optimum line efficiency and product quality.
Continuously monitor defect analysis for tracking and evaluating equipment and process performance.
Submit daily 'pass-down' reports to Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and other technicians on the following shift.
Adhere to all safety and health regulations associated with the position and follow directives from the manager.
Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the evolution of the company and department/position requirements.
Job Qualifications:
Knowledge Requirements:
Associate degree preferred, with a minimum of three to five years of related experience.
Understanding of electronic circuitry, controllers, data recorders, temperature, PLC, and previous fabrication assembly and test experience.
Knowledge of mechanical equipment and interpretation of electrical and hydraulic drawings.
Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
Medical industry experience in an FDA and ISO environment is preferred.
