  Job Summary:

  The Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center Manufacturing Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the production of commercial and military hardware in our Special Technologies business unit. This role will support the development and continuous improvement of production processes associated with the application of thermal barrier coatings.

  Responsibilities:

  Develop manufacturing processes through multiple process steps that span the full value stream of the parts.

  Build and maintain shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements.)

  Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.

  As a key member of the manufacturing engineering organization, significant interaction with product designers, tool designers, quality assurance, systems designers, and other stakeholders is required.

  Provide focused & effective leadership in the advancement of MRL elements to drive manufacturing risk identification and mitigation to achieve superior quality performance.

  Use statistical analysis tools to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product.

  Basic Qualifications:

  2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field

  Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient.

  Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills

  Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

  The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience in atmospheric plasma spray processes and thermal barrier coatings.

  Experience with CNC machinery and robotics.

  Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  Familiarization with process monitoring, and data collection

  Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

  The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
