Hendrickson Auxiliary Axle, located in Hebron, Ohio is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join the team and be a part of supporting our Mission to build value for employees, customers and stakeholders by delivering timely, cost-effective, innovative ride solutions to advance the global commercial transportation industry."The World Rides on Us"Position Purpose:In this position the intern/co-op will be exposed to a variety of Manufacturing Engineering functions at a manufacturing plant level.Essential Functions:* Assist in defining new assembly standards.* Create and revise work instructions for processes.* Fixture design and fabrication.* Data analysis.* Other projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications* Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.* Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0* Effective oral, written, and PC skills mandatory* Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills required* 3D modeling experience in CREO/ProE is preferred* Ability to manage multiple projects and have strong planning skills* Ability to communicate with employees in a 1 on 1 or group setting* Self motivated and willing to learn* Ability to handle confidential information professionally* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point* Ability to use measuring devices (digital calipers, micrometers, etc)* Ability to work in standard and metric unitsPhysical Demands* Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.* Must be comfortable in an industrial environment.* Minimally need to move about inside office and plant designated area.* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and safety shoes as required.Environmental Conditions* Office area.* Noise and dustBehavioral Traits* Attention to Detail* Analytical & mathematical* Able to balance multiple priorities* Teamwork*This is not a comprehensive list of duties.
