Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

• Lead shop Kaizen improvement events

• Pull and analyze weekly reports from ERP

• Maintain spreadsheets that track metrics – labor, efficiency, on-time delivery, etc.

• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles on the shop floor

• Build new manufacturing capabilities or new lines as needed

• Develop and improve shop floor layouts with CAD system

• Conceptualize, design in CAD, and build fixtures for shop production cells

• Assist in machine preventive maintenance and building/facilities maintenance

• Work with Suppliers and our Supply Chain team for supplier qualifications, audits, and development

• Work with the Returns team on customer quality deficiencies

Shop Floor Support:

• Apply working knowledge of lean assembly methods to evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas needing improvement

• Assure new and existing manufacturing processes meet Quality and Production capability objectives

• Work with the production manager, coordinators, floor technicians, and suppliers to fix manufacturing problems. Perform efficiency studies such as time studies, workflow studies, etc.

• Interpret part drawings, specs, and standards to determine conformance
