A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Pontiac, IL area. A seasoned manufacturing engineer with expertise in improving production efficiency, quality assurance, and leadership, utilizing analytical skills, engineering drawings, and proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD).

responsibilities:
Study time, motion, methods, and speed to establish standard production rates and enhance efficiency.
Review worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to ensure adherence to quality assurance specifications.
Review and approve work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
Analyze charts, graphs, and diagrams illustrating workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
Evaluate data and reports to validate or identify deviations from existing standards.
Recommend modifications to quality or production standards for optimum quality within equipment capability limits.
Skills:

Expert ability in making sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
