Hendrickson Auxiliary Axle, located in Hebron, Ohio is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team and be a part of supporting our Mission to build value for employees, customers and stakeholders by delivering timely, cost-effective, innovative ride solutions to advance the global commercial transportation industry."The World Rides on Us"Position Purpose:Oversee, maintain and improve axle and suspension fabrication and assembly processes.Essential Functions:* Develop, implement, and maintain effective, robust, ergonomic and safemanufacturing processes.* Selection, justification and implementation of CNC machining equipment.* Continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variable and fixed manufacturing cost.* Work with Product Development on design for manufacturability for current and future products.* Participate on Simultaneous Product Process Development Teams as required.* Support IATF 16949, ISO 9001 certification initiatives.* Familiar with A.P.Q.P. process associated with launching new products.* Support customers with resolutions to concerns and enhancements for existing applications.* Define product and process improvements for potential cost savings.* Work with plant engineering group, quality department and production to aid in daily manufacturing issues.* All other duties as assigned.Education and Training* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field required.Minimum Qualifications* 5 years manufacturing experience.* CNC Machining knowledge required.* Strong knowledge of CNC Machine Programming.* Knowledge of tooling selection and optimization required.* Mechanical aptitude and strong analytical/problem solving skills.* Suspension System knowledge preferred.* Welding and robotics experience preferred.* Background in developing product evaluations based on analysis data.* Training in computer aided drafting techniques.* Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.* Knowledge of programming and PLC logic.* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.* Effective written and verbal communication skills.* Hands-on, systematic individual.* Results oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility.* Experience communicating and working with all levels within an organization in a professional and reliable manner.Physical Demands* Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.* Occasionally need to move about inside office designated area.* Minimally need to position self in low or tight spaces.Environmental Conditions* Frequently exposure to office designated area.* Minimal atmospheric exposure.* Frequent exposure to loud noises.* Minimal exposure to items that might injury one's self.Behavioral Traits* Production Focus, Tactical, and Cooperation needed* Attention to Detail* Developing and Continual Learning* Safety Focus* Teamwork* Self-Management.Hendrickson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
