It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely 100% ofthe time and will share a hoteling workspace if/when working onsite, asdetermined by business needs. The incumbent can work remotely from anywhere inFNBO's 8 state footprint.
Summary of the Job:The Managing Director, Credit Strategy & MIS works to enhance the bank'scredit risk oversight processes in support of FNBO's growth, riskappetite, and efficiency objectives. This role manages teams that maintainand evolve FNBO's credit policy and strategy; evaluate and monitor creditrisk appetite, tolerance, and thresholds; test controls and work withthe business to remediate issues; and maintain a comprehensive andforward-looking Credit MIS designed for executive management and credit andbusThis individual is knowledgeable of large US banking organizations' creditpolicy and governance structure and works with FNBO consumer and commerciallending credit leadership and other relevant stakeholders to create aforward-ready credit risk oversight process inside FNBO.This role will also act as the liaison in credit risk to interface with bankregulators regarding safety and soundness matters.
About This Role:
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Lead the on-going enhancement of the bank's Credit Policy, Strategy andGuidelines, based on in depth knowledge of best-in-class banking credit riskpractices and on-going engagement with industry forums.Challenge existing FNBO risk management practices and frameworks (with afocus on areas including risk rating framework, credit concentration,stress testing and loan monitoring) to prepare the bank for heightenedregulatory standards as it achieves growth objectives.Evolve the bank's Credit MIS designed to communicate trends and emergingrisks to the board, credit, and business line leadership.Partner with external parties (e.g., Moody's, Auriemma) to developcredit risk benchmarking for all FNBO's lending products. Collaborate withthe business and technology to acquire data assets necessary.Ensure business segments adhere to corporate and business unit policies andprocedures. Implement testing processes for adherence to credit policy,strategy, and procedures; communicate results to credit leadership andensure a system of accountability for responsible parties.Manage Credit Risk regulatory exams, Loan Reviews, Audits, and internalrisk assessments.Operate and enhance credit risk oversight committees (e.g., FNNI CreditPolicy Committee)
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant credit risk management at a large ($50B+) USnational bank required, at least part of it in a credit risk governancefunctioDemonstrated knowledge and practical experience of credit strategy developmentand testing, of aggregating risk trends to senior level of bank managementthrough MIS, and in exam management.Demonstrated experience in leading change, with a track record ofidentifying and implementing opportunities to improve business operations andperformance.Demonstrated success in working across business lines to drive businessdecisions. Working knowledge of the applicable laws and regulations that govern lendingin a national bank.Education Level: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business.

Compensation:Compensation range (base pay): $154,074.00-$261,926.00
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range basedupon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
