Overview
Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, Work Control (Planning) to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.
This position provides leadership and oversight to the Work Control organization. Establishes performance expectations consistent with company standards and federal government/industry accepted Work Control procedures and programs. Manages and supports the development of Corrective and Preventive Facility Maintenance Work Packages and associated Hazardous Energy Control lockouts. Plans, organizes and directs short and long-range resource requirements and programs to continually improve Conduct of Operations and Human Performance Initiatives, fostering a Nuclear Safety Culture.
Responsibilities
Manages the Work Control organization allocating resources and providing technical and administrative guidance in developing Maintenance Work Packages and Hazardous Energy Control lockouts and records management.
Analyzes maintenance practices, DOE Guidelines/Orders, Industry Standards (ANSI, ASME, etc.), Hazard Review Documents, and Technical Safety Requirements and provides guidance to implement into maintenance technical work documents.
Manages staff, including but not limited to, hiring, assessing performance, mentoring, coaching, training, developing, salary administration and providing overall direction for work assignments and activities.
Fosters an environment in which all work is performed utilizing DOE/INPO Conduct of Operations Standards and HPI tools within a Safety Conscious Work Environment/Nuclear Safety Culture.
Interfaces with SRMC management, external and internal customers, including DOE facility personnel and DNFSB.
Fosters a Nuclear Safety Culture to enhance behavior-based safety and personal accountability.
Manages human relations and resource needs to support the facility and achieve performance based milestones including mission critical activities.
Provides input for budget development. Manages overtime to meet cost and schedule goals.
Participates and leads improvement and efficiency efforts, self-assessments, and field observations

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with field nuclear experience in engineering, operations, work planning and/or maintenance; or
• Associates degree with field nuclear experience in engineering, operations, work planning and/or maintenance; or
• High School Diploma or GED with field nuclear experience in engineering, operations, work planning and/or maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
• Operations experience working in a nuclear facility/site
• Maintenance experience working in a nuclear facility/site
• Work Management experience working in a nuclear facility/site
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Broad understanding of environmental laws and regulations, DOE orders and knowledge of company policies
• Ability to read/understand various electrical and mechanical technical documents (ex. Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, schematics, etc.)
• An in-depth knowledge of DOE, Federal, and State regulations as well as existing Engineering and Quality Assurances Standards and procedures.
• Comprehensive understanding of Site work control (work practices), radiological controls, quality assurance, configuration management, material controls and procedures for both maintenance and operations related areas

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. USD $105,400.00/Yr.
Maximum Pay
USD $189,000.00/Yr.
