You will promote safe working behaviors, help develop quality focused processes, maintain organized cleanliness, and continuously strive for improvement opportunities. This role will require strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with Manufacturing, Production Control, Logistics, and our Vendors.ResponsibilitiesFoster an environment in which safety is the highest priority, and coach safe powered equipment and material handling practicesManage a team of warehouse associates to support Service Parts objectivesPartner with the Production Control team to ship materials to our subcontracting partners, sales company distribution centers, and external customers as neededManage and support specials parts needs such as material flashing or programming requirementsEnsure Service specific inventory is quarantined and reworked in partnership with engineering teamsMaintain standard work documentation, training, attendance, overtime, and process adherencePerform 5 Why analysis with warehouse associates to root cause gapsMaintains an organized warehouse operation that focuses on housekeeping standards and applies 5S principlesTrain, develop, and evaluate warehouse associates on standard work and confirm their adherenceEvaluates warehouse associate behavior based safe working behaviors, quality of work, productivity levels, and adherence to general standards and policies to provide constructive feedbackIdentify best practices, process changes, operational issues/concerns, and general improvement opportunitiesHelp build a team to support inbound, storage, kitting, repackaging, and outbound requirementsUtilize SAP EWM to manage all warehouse activitiesVerify adherence to Dangerous Goods handling and shipping requirementsQualifications5+ years of experience in warehouse operations and distribution3+ years of experience managing and leading a staff in a warehouse environmentPreferred BS/BA in Supply Chain, Engineering or related fieldWorking knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerpointStrong collaborator, with willingness to drive change cross functionallyUnderstanding of Dangerous Goods shipping requirements with preferred Dangerous Goods certificationSAP WM or EWM experience (a plus)Experience in leading and organizing teams with a proven track record of performance (preferred automotive/high-tech environment)Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilitiesUnderstanding and experience in implementing lean project initiativesUnderstanding and compliant to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelinesAbility to stand for 8-12 hours per dayFrequent use of hands to handle materials up to 50 lbs.Required to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50 lbs. under select racking or floor pile locationsRequired to communicate using telephone or emailAbility to view, read, and interpret documents, safety rules, and standard operating proceduresAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to perform all duties in the warehouse that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weatherFlexible work schedulePay DisclosureSalary Range for Washington Based Applicant
