About Manager, Service Reliability Engineering

  Job Title Manager, Service Reliability Engineering Summary of the role: Lead a team responsible for working on projects or day to day operational activities aimed to ensure the reliability of the customer management (CM) application. - Accountable for the budget, performance and results of a medium-sized team or multiple teams of employees. Influences the resource, budget and policy planning and sets concrete development plans for the team members. - Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity and the business, influences the department's strategy based on a broad understanding of the environment. Exposed to complex decision making. - Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions, escalating issues only when necessary. In this role you will: Manage Platform Services for Navitaire Core Services end to end. Manage the full application stack (OS, Data Bases and Data Stores, Application, Links, vNW and the corresponding support functions according to the agreed service levels (internal & external) Service Automation. Change and Release Management: Manage and execute change, release and test processes and drive automation of these processes Problem & Incident Management. -Produces deliverables and carries out problem investigations, support or change management activities within timescales and standards defined by Team Leader or Project Leader. -Participates in projects and initiatives aimed to maintain and evolve the application. - Works with various Engineering & Product Teams to define the KPI's for the Products which the SRE Team will be responsible for managing in Production -Follows the company's IT best practices and security guidelines." Business Knowledge - Combines technical skills with business awareness to get a bigger picture understanding of the Service Reliability Engineering DCS division and Navitaire. -Gains an appreciation of the standards of work required, project life cycle and Navitaire methodologies. About the ideal candidate: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience in Building and Lead Large Teams Experience of developing and managing an SRE practice and Operations Center. Customer facing operations on Cloud, Mobile, and IIoT platforms. Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, PowerShell. Experience with cloud services like AWS or Microsoft Azure. Experience of observability and logging solutions. Experience with software infrastructure management including Helm, FluxCD, Ansible, and Terraform. Knowledge of software and deployment test methodologies and automated test tools. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, and operations. Software development on both Windows and Linux. Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of the Airline Industry will be a Plus.
