Job Summary
The Risk Manager is responsible to foster balance between the company’s risk exposure and revenue generation through proactive risk assessment, quantification, mitigation and reporting. The manager also serves as an integrated member of RISE contributing on assigned projects as needed.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Develop quantification tools, processes, and reports to capture enterprise wide risk events and scenarios
Work with risk owners in building risk registries and developing effective mitigation plans
Coordinate with business risk owners in developing Risk Management Committee (RMC) discussion topics around key risks and initiatives
Lead/perform targeted risk assessments which integrate with other enterprise processes such as Risk Informed Budget Allocations (RIBA) and the business planning process
Manage consulting relationships in regard to budget and implementation deliverables as appropriate
Direct analysis and data mining initiatives that identify, validate, and manage emerging risk exposures
Assist in preparing enterprise risk management updates to the Audit Committee
Adapt existing methods and procedures to solve complex problems
Monitor derivative hedge positions across the enterprise including reconciling derivative purchases to state approved hedge plans
Develop or update risk management policies and procedures
Participate in ERM risk workshops and present/facilitate training
Provide cross-functional support and engagement in alignment with strategy, insurance and credit key initiatives,
Required Qualifications for Position
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics or technical discipline or equivalent experience
Technical background in risk management techniques, commodity market instruments, COSO governance and MISO compliance.
Strong collaborative and decision making skills
Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills including experience performing risk quantification assessment
Demonstrated record in managing complex tasks and issues
Proven ability to lead and coordinate projects and manage multiple priorities
Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
Strong communication skills including executive presentation experience
Willingness to take on responsibility and challenging work assignments
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
Five + years relevant work experience in risk management, strategy, predictive analytics or related discipline
Advanced degree (MBA, CPA, statistics, or similar)

$107,000.00 - $160,500.00
