  Title and Summary

Manager, Product Management - North America Small Business Partnerships

  Overview:

There are over 30 million small businesses in the US, accounting for over 99% of all companies, and more than half of all jobs and sales revenue generated in the country. Small business owners are the hustlers and dreamers who work beyond the typical 9-to-5 and put it all on the line to pursue their passion. And while they may be called "small", they are mighty - navigating unchartered territory in the name of growing their business and serving as a pillar of their community.

As the lifeblood of our economy, small businesses need Mastercard's support to not only to survive but thrive. The U.S. Small Business Segment team is responsible for advancing Mastercard's small business efforts throughout the United States. We have incredibly audacious goals for growing our business and are pursuing several key initiatives to help us meet those objectives, including the evolution of our partnerships and product line strategies.

The Manager, Small Business Partnerships will be responsible for supporting and driving the delivery of an integrated partnership strategy that will impact how our small business cardholders will engage with their card, their Bank, and our brand. The candidate will also support the negotiation and management of strategic partner relationships that are critical to existing and new small business product capabilities and value propositions. Finally, this role is responsible for leading the Easy Savings platform within the U.S and helping to drive customer engagement as well as the acquisition of new merchant offers.

  Role and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop an overarching small business partnership strategy across our core card and beyond card capabilities that leverages out-of-the-box thinking to capture new distribution opportunities and evolve our business into the future.

  • Successfully influence and drive change among stakeholders to scale critical small business strategies and deliver business impact.

  • Manage relationships with merchant partners on our small business card propositions; key responsibilities include reporting, customer engagement, and budget management.

  • Support the identification, negotiation, and delivery of net new merchant benefits in our core product line.

  • Serve as the main point of contact in the U.S. for our merchant-funded Easy Savings program and define the program roadmap in the region.

  • Represent our business strategy and narrative to customers and serve as a small business leader within and outside of the company to help win new business and drive Mastercard brand preference.

  All About You:

  • You are a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and who can work independently while also rolling up your sleeves in partnership with others to get a job done.

  • You have a strategic mindset and strong sense of intellectual curiosity, with a proven ability to innovate, develop end-to-end strategies, and look beyond business as usual.
