Position Overview:
Reporting to the VP of Principal Giving, the Philanthropy Manager of Principal Giving & Strategic Initiatives is responsible for providing day-to-day oversight and management for the Principal Gifts (PG) program, which is primarily focused on securing gifts of $5M+. This role has oversight and strategy task management of top prospect portfolio – 250 donors for Sutter Health system wide. Supports the planning and management of monthly multi-market pipeline meetings and follow through along with proposal tracking in 12-month cycle and 3-year planning. Overall strategic management of projects and planning for Principal Giving and Strategic Initiatives team as directed by Vice President, including creating presentations and data analysis, principal donor events and top cultivation opportunities.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare or related field or equivalent education/experience
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of fundraising and non-profit organizations; knowledge of database software and prospect tracking systems; understanding of major gift strategy development.
Aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of MS Access; extensive experience using/manipulating databases; expertise with research techniques, including text and on-line resources; facility to learn new software quickly; proficient analytical skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.
Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and/or leaders to achieve business objectives.
Verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service and achieving business results.
Demonstrates ability to work/interact with a diverse population while respecting cultural and linguistic differences and fostering an inclusive work environment.

Pay Range is $53.73 to $80.59 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
