About Manager, NA Recalls, RISC

  We are looking for an experienced Recalls Manager to join our Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) team and lead a team of 3-4 Recalls Risk Managers. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability developing and improving a global recall program; which includes developing a strategic roadmap to ensure the right policies, procedures, resources, audit and reporting mechanisms are in place. You will partner with and consult domestic and international program, business, and legal teams to execute private brand recalls. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly visible space and be part of a vibrant and fast-growing company!Key job responsibilitiesThe successful candidate should have strong business and communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders via data-driven and actionable insights, and capable of working independently in an ambiguous environment.The successful candidate will also:- Manage a growing team of risk managers- Responsible for setting the vision, direction and execution of all key deliverables for NA Recalls program- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and solid understanding of the recalls process and the NA regulatory landscape as it pertains to product safety- Continuously identify industry best practices and contribute to the improvement of the Recalls program- Plan and conduct periodic business reviews with leadership team- Embrace the use of data analytics to increase value and reduce costs to serve- Manage several large high profile projects simultaneously with precision and accuracy- Influence roadmaps, business & technology decisions.- Develop key metrics and performance indicators to track progress against business objectives and measure results- Support and provide expertise to Retail, Seller Support, Product Quality, Customer Service, and Legal functionsAbout the teamOur vision is to enable our Selling Partners to offer earth's broadest selection of safe and compliant products to our customers. We achieve our objectives by: (1) ensuring we offer only safe and compliant products in our stores, (2) quickly mitigating and remediating risks if we learn of unsafe products, (3) providing our Selling Partners a positive and low-friction experience in meeting their compliance obligations, (4) improving our external stakeholder's perception of our ability to offer safe products, and (5) fostering a culture of operational excellence to improve decision speed and accuracy while reducing cost to serve customers and Selling Partners.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USA- Bachelor's Degree- 6+ years' experience in program management, risk management, or legal- Previous experience leading large teams to high levels of performance- Experience using oral and written communication to propose complex solutions and explanations- Previous experience of creating and contributing to strategic planning processes- Previous experience owning a complex risk program, cross functional projects multiple priorities and work streams- Previous experience creating and contributing to strategic planning processes- Knowledge of the US regulatory landscape pertaining to recalls and product safety standards- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, engineering, operations, logistics, supply chain, regulatory, risk management or related field- JD, MBA, MS or MA (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Retail, Manufacturing, Law, Public Policy, or Equivalent)- 10+ years' experience in program management, risk management, or legal- Demonstrated ability to define, plan, deliver and measure programs with a growing scope or complexityOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
