Job Description:
The Global Financial Controls CoE (GFC) is an enterprise-wide function that supports the Finance strategic objective of ensuring a strong financial controls environment. The function provides reasonable assurance over the completeness and accuracy over the key processes that impact Fidelity's financial statements. Specifically, GFC evaluates the design and operating effectiveness of key financial controls through the execution of integrated reviews.
The Manager IT Controls role will deliver significant value to the business by assessing IT risks and controls supporting the firm's financial processes and systems. This role will provide subject matter expertise (SME) to ensure effective coverage over IT risks and controls. The Manager role will partner with Business Unit Controllers, other risk groups, process, and control owners as well as GFC associates. This role will provide excellent opportunities to learn about Fidelity's many business units, key financial processes, and systems. This role will report to the GFC Senior Manager or Director.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's Degree or above in relevant fields (e.g., CS, IT, Information Security, Accounting)Five plus years of progressive experience with leading IT Audits and/or integrated auditsProfessional certification CISA and/or CA, CPA highly desired. Other relevant certifications CISSP and CIABlend of Public Accounting (SOX / IT SOX) and Internal Audit experience highly desirableStrong grasp of IT Applications Controls (ITACs) and IT General Controls (ITGCs)Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present information to senior managementStrong project management skills, ability to manage competing priorities and workloadProven track record of driving change within complex / matrixed corporate environmentsStrong learning agility to quickly understand and connect key conceptsExposure partnering with Financial Audit teams in performing integrated audits as an IT Audit SMEExposure to general accounting concepts including financial statement risks and controlsFinancial services industry experience desirable

Support the GFC annual plan through the execution of multiple integrated workstreamsEffectively identify IT risks and IT application controls within key processesAssess the design and operating effectiveness of key ITACs, manual controls and key reports (IPEs)Ensure the quality of flowcharts, risk control matrices, narratives and workpapersLead process walkthroughs, evaluate the control environment, validate findings, and develop overall conclusionsAuthor impactful findings in a clear concise manner in coordination with GFC Squad LeadsEffectively manage relationships and build successful partnerships with key stakeholdersDevelop understanding of financially significant processes and relevant control considerationsSupport GFCs' IT Center of Excellence (CoE) and help co-lead internal training initiativesCoach and train junior practitioners and provide meaningful feedback when appropriateHigh level of professionalism, sense of urgency, and self-motivation
