The Opportunity
Manager – IT Compliance works out of our Waukegan, Illinois (J46) location as part of the Global IT Quality, Compliance and Regulatory organization within Abbott’s Corporate Business Technology Services (BTS).
As the Manager – IT Compliance , you’ll have the chance to lead the BTS Internal Quality Audit program , including responsibility the audit schedule, plan, execution, documentation, and key process metrics to support the BTS Quality Management System. You’ll manage a team of auditors and represent the audit program to BTS Senior Leaders as well as the broader Abbott auditor community.
What You’ll Work On
Responsible for IT Internal Quality Audit
Develop risk-based audit schedule and audit plans to systematically evaluate the audit objective and scope.
Manage and/or conduct audits against applicable quality regulations, standards, and internal quality requirements, providing status communication to leadership.
Identify compliance issues and risks so that they are understood, including evaluation of previous audit responses to ensure adequacy and effectiveness
Manage and/or develop audit reports in timely manner
Collect and analyze audit data related to tracking and trending key process metrics
Maintain current audit process and procedures
Manages team of 1-5 BTS Quality Auditors and assists with their development
Required Qualifications
B.S. or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Quality Management , and/or Science discipline
5+ years of overall IT experience and or Compliance experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred audit certifications, examples include Abbott Level 2 Auditor, CQA, CSQE, or CSTE
Preferred IT and/or compliance experience (Audit, CAPA, etc)
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, judgment and consultative capabilities
Strong communication skills with proven ability to work with both management and staff.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
