About Manager, ISP Compliance

  Description

  We are seeking a stellar compliance manager with operational experience in internet service provider (ISP)/telecom obligations to join the ISP Compliance team supporting Amazon’s Project Kuiper.

  Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

  We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

  Key job responsibilities

  Working closely with Kuiper legal, finance, governance, and business teams, you will develop out-of-this-world strategies for monitoring compliance obligations in creative, business-centric ways that allow Kuiper to move quickly.

  You will manage a team of 5 or more industry compliance specialists working closely with various teams to create, run, and critically assess operational controls on ISP compliance obligations. You will be responsible for meeting or exceeding established test performance and audit standards, and you will provide key insights to leadership regarding key risks and controls.

  This position may be based in Redmond, WA, or Arlington, VA. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.

  Basic Qualifications

  5+ years’ experience with control oversight and/or execution

  5+ years’ experience in communications compliance

  3+ years’ experience leading people

  Preferred Qualifications

  Previous experience in managing controls at a telecommunications or internet service provider

  Regulatory audit experience

  Familiarity with global telecommunications regulatory landscape

  Ability to critically evaluate data, information and metrics and develop recommendations

  Excited and passionate about innovating on behalf of our customers

  Strong written and oral communication skills

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $198,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
