Manager - Forecasting & Planning w/ Novo Nordisk Inc. in Plainsboro, NJ. Develop, analyze and effectively work with current and new forecasting tools, models, and approaches that inform the demand outlook for Novo Nordisk brands. Collaborate with the rest of the Forecasting team as well as FP&A and Strategic Pricing, to develop and communicate the NNI AB (anchor budget) and RE (rolling estimate) forecasts. Provide evidence-based, strategic guidance for brand and senior management, especially marketing VPs of diabetes GLP-1 and insulin portfolios. Offer insight-driven consultation to all levels of internal stakeholders. Work closely with marketing research team and manage the market team to provide in-depth analysis, insights, and strategic business recommendations. Assess and challenge alternative forecasts, including those developed by Global Insights & Forecasting, or by consulting vendors. Partner with new product planning teams on assumptions for pipeline products. Develop innovative solutions to complex, unstructured problems. Execute delegated ad hoc projects with minimal required coaching, and ensure such projects are completed on schedule, within budget, per direction, and are internally consistent with group deliverable quality. Examples of such ad-hoc projects may include evaluation of product label changes, new competitive threats, impact of marketing mix or sales forces changes, new product launches or discontinuations, etc.Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Pharmaceutical Science, Business Administration, Business Analytics or a related field and 2 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving the execution of pharmaceutical forecasting projects. Experience must include two (2) years in: Identifying pharmaceutical requirements and construct appropriate market methodology for drug deliverables; Interpreting parameters in data and analyzing data gaps; Performing marketing assessment, company profiling and analysis of pharmaceutical market data; Performing market sizing and estimation and pharmaceutical product and pipe-line assessment.
