The Opportunity:Avantor is looking for a Manager of Distribution Solutions to lead a team of software engineers specializing in warehouse management and distribution systems, specifically SAP EWM. This manager will establish application development foundations and integration practices and procedures including technical standards, software-coding standards, tools, conceptualizing functional requirements, architectural approaches, integration methodology and application and infrastructure design guidance to deliver high-quality and timely solutions and services that continuously meet business needs. This person will design solutions, supervise the development, testing, documentation and implementation of those applications or other technical solutions and the maintenance of existing applications.This position will work directly with the business leaders of the Distribution business to develop and implement systematic solutions that solve their most complex business challenges. Also, providing the necessary support to ensure systems are available and functioning properly during operational hours.What we're looking forEducation: BS/BA in Information Systems, or relevant work experience, required.Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP applications in LOGISTICS modules, with a clear focus on SAP EWM. 8 years of experience with EWM strongly preferred.Strong understanding of the warehouse and transportation business processes.8 years of experience working with Distribution systems (WMS, TMS).8 years of experience supporting warehousing and transportation business processes.Who you areExperienced with multiple EWM system implementations.Effective written, oral communicator and excellent interpersonal skills.Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment, work independently and prioritize work.Strong teamwork skills and the able to develop working relationships.Experienced in communicating with all levels of management.How you will create an impactRecruit, hire, develop and manage team of system engineers specialized in warehouse management and distribution systems.Works directly with Warehouse and Transportation leadership and business users to understand business requirements.Design, configure and implement warehouse management solutions that meet business requirements.Work directly with global development teams to ensure solutions are delivered according to specifications.Manage business requests and assigned to team and are completed in timely manner.Provide production support for any issues related to the systems supporting the distribution business.Research latest technologies that could provide value and benefit to the distribution business.Manage projects as requested including budget, timeline, and resources.#LI-RemoteDisclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
