  JOB SUMMARY

  This role will lead the AV Media Services team to enhance reputational marketing by way of consistent, flawless execution of conferences, marketing initiatives, content production, and various broadcasting endeavors. All with the overall mission to produce a best-in-class Audiovisual (AV) experience at Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital Plano. There will be a heavy emphasis on problem solving capabilities (e.g. gather market research on best practice, identify root cause behind issues, link with industry leaders to validate assumptions, right-to-left thinking). They are also expected to mentor and directly manage Media Services Engineers and other project resources to aid in the professional development and perform HR duties where appropriate.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  Accountable for management, development, and overall mentorship of AV Media Services team.

  Provide constructive feedback to Media Services Engineers as needed; assist team with project escalations and problem solving as needed.

  Drives long term planning and strategic vision creation for AV Media improvements and strategies, with oversight from Director and VP as needed.

  Establishes department budget with Director and tracks to ensure budget is on track and aligned with strategic goals.

  Owns assorted departmental responsibilities as assigned (ie contract management, staffing/resourcing, demand management, budgeting etc).

  Conducts all human resources related activities, inclusive of interviews, supervision, performance evaluations, development, coaching, feedback, reward and recognition, scheduling, leaves, policy and procedure admin, etc.

  Oversee the documentation of event preparations, finalizing quarterly technology audits, and editing process documents as needed.

  Partners with and leads team towards the identification of problems/opportunities in line with the Heart Hospital AV Media Strategy.

  Establishes a process for team-based structuring and defining of problems.

  Offer ongoing training sessions for hospital AV technology operations and relevant processes.

  Coordinate relationship with FACET CME team for assistance in required events.

  Provides advice or suggestions for improvements that meet customer and AV Media goals.

  Presents and explains findings to leadership team and individuals.

  Utilizes both traditional and modern assessment tools, such as interviews, surveys, and evaluations to arrive at hypothesis and conclusions.

  KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  Ability to manage and lead a team, formal management experienced preferred.

  Adept in video editing, graphic design, and Adobe Suite.

  Ability to troubleshoot problems in all technical areas during meetings/events, including video, audio or lighting issues as well as hardware issues arising in computers, TVs, or cameras.

  Vendor coordination for outsourcing, proposal requests, budgeting, and project tracking.

  Knowledge of audio/sound equipment, including operation of sound board and microphones during live events and/or meetings.

  Working knowledge of WordPress preferred.

  Knowledge of technical stage lighting and light computer programs preferred.

  Hardware deployment experience and technology operating system knowledge preferred.

  QUALIFICATIONS

  EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

  EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience
