Purpose of Job:
To oversee client education solutions for both prospective and existing Scotia iTRADE clients, internal partners including Scotia iTRADE employees, the Branch network and other BNS business groups as required. The Manager of Client Education is responsible for completing needs analyses, designing, evaluating the most optimal client education solutions. The Manager of Client Education will deliver live education webinars, maintain our public site Learning Centre, and support Education initiatives for iTRADE. In addition, the Manager of Client Education will help plan out projects and initiatives to help deliver value to our self-directed clients.
Major Accountabilities:
Manage and lead Client Education Projects & Initiatives:
Deliver new initiatives to increase client engagement and boost awareness of our client education offerings
Plan, outline content/delivery plan, develop solutions, and lead projects and initiatives that will enhance iTRADE’ s education offering to clients
Deliver Client education projects and initiatives to be researched, analyzed, and developed based on client data, insights, industry/competitive analysis, and feedback
Delivering of Client Education Webinars:
Delivering and facilitating live client webinars (audio & video), independently or with internal/external education partners
Manage and plan out the client education live webinar calendar on our public site and digital platforms schedule/logistics and monitoring participant registration
Using client feedback, industry trends and insights develop new and fresh content to keep our iTRADE clients engaged
Work with internal Scotiabank partners to develop content and deliver new webinar content for clients
Manage our client education iTRADE YouTube channel to promote our client live webinars and keep it updated with fresh content
Work with internal iTRADE teams, Wealth, digital, and Marketing to boost client awareness and highlight the variety of client education offering
Client Education Analytics and Metrics:
Manage all aspects of reporting and analytics for client live webinars review attendance and feedback and adapt accordingly
Use analytics to measure client engagement from our digital public site/platforms and live webinars to create new content for clients to boost engagement
Remain up to date on industry trends, best practices on Investor Education:
Research and evaluate education delivery best practices to continually foster a culture of learning and improving
Research trends, proactively seek out industry insights, conduct competitive analysis related to investor education in the Canadian and North American online investing industry and compare iTRADE against competitors
Contribute to the effective functioning of Scotia iTRADE by:
Effectively collaborate with internal iTRADE teams and Scotiabank to deliver a ‘best in class’ education experience for clients
Facilitating a culture of open and honest communication by actively participating and contributing to one-on-one touchbases and team meetings, encouraging the generation of new ideas and approaches and actively sharing knowledge and experience to enhance the development of all team members
Building effective working relationships across the team and with various business line and corporate function contacts
Developing and executing a meaningful Employee Development Plan
Education/Work Experience/Designations
Minimum 5 years in a training/adult education related position (includes head office and ‘in field’ experience) and has experience in developing client focused business solutions
Strong communication ability to engage with an audience convey with confidence about presentation topics is a core requirement
Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex themes into fun engaging presentations for clients
Prior knowledge of designing and developing client education solutions, including needs analysis, setting objectives, developing course material, and evaluation methods
Previous experience facilitating, presenting, and hosting investing/financial content would be asset
Strong knowledge of online investing and the stock market would be an asset
French language fluency is an asset

Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and follow-through skills
Strong presentation skills to audience of clients
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
Ability to work as part of an interdependent team and individually when required. Works well with autonomy and is an excellent communicator in a flexible work environment.
