This position exists to support the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies’ Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Function with an emphasis on managing the Continuity Program. Responsibilities include facilitating activities required by the company’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework, state contractual requirements, as well as meeting various reporting requirements. The Business Continuity Program comprises Business Continuity Planning, Crisis Management, Emergency Response, and Pandemic Planning and ensures the organization can respond to events that would disrupt normal business operations. This position's responsibility includes coordinating the design, development, maintenance, and exercising (testing) of the overall Business Continuity Program. Researching and applying business continuity trends.
Responsibilities:
Managing the ERM lifecycle in specific areas and for select processes, related risk identification, assessment, measurement & monitoring, mitigation tracking, and reporting.
Manage all aspects of the planning, documentation, and implementation of functions and activities related to the company's Business Continuity Program.
Assume a leadership role in developing, coordinating, and maintaining comprehensive business contingency plans and validation methodology to ensure the firm’s ability to recover in the event of an unforeseen disruption to facilities, technology systems, or applications.
Identify potential Business Interruptions, develop safeguards against these interruptions, and implement recovery procedures in the event of a business interruption, for all corporate business units.
Work with business unit management to determine critical business processes, identify related risks and acceptable recovery times, develop mitigation and contingency plans to address adverse impacts of technology or application failures or other business disrupting events.
Provide support to business coordinators and business managers in the development, updating, and maintenance of their business resumption plans.
Ensure procedures are in place to allow business units to continue to manage the firm’s assets, satisfy regulatory obligations and execute business requirements.
Establish business continuity testing methodologies: plan and coordinate the testing of recovery support and business resumption procedures throughout the organization. Ensure that recovery procedures are effective for the restoration of key corporate resources and for the resumption of critical business processes.
Facilitate the integration of IS Disaster recovery plans with Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Emergency response and Pandemic Preparedness plans.
Conduct local and regional testing exercises.
Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise-wide Crisis Management plan, designed to effectively to protect life and property during and immediately following a major crisis or disturbance.Ensure that such plans are documented, communicated, and that policies exist for implementation and execution.
Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise-wide Emergency Response plan, encompassing planning and response to major disasters, catastrophic incidents, or other external situation presenting a significant impact to business functions.Ensure that such plans are documented, communicated, and that policies exist for implementation and execution.
Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise-wide Pandemic Preparedness plan, encompassing planning and response public health issues presenting a significant impact to business functions.Ensure that such plans are documented, communicated, and that policies exist for implementation and execution.
Coordinate activities related to SOC reporting, including control objectives, testing and annual audits.
Develop and facilitate the execution of awareness training for the Business Continuity Program.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
5-10 years experience with Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery plan development, testing, and execution.
Other Skills:
This position may require working multiple projects consecutively.

Experienced in Business Continuity Process development, maintenance and testing
Experienced in Disaster Recovery Process development, maintenance and testing
Experienced in SAS70 Audi Processes or similar compliance processes
Experience in initiating and leading the collaboration, facilitation and coordination of all individuals and resources involved in emergency and non-emergency situations.
Demonstrated skill in evaluating emergency crisis situations and demonstrating leadership in interactions with employees, contractors, public officials, other government agencies, and the public, especially during critical emergency incidents.
Experienced in the development and maintenance of all business continuity/DR documentation.
