The Opportunity
Asia Finance Transformation is to streamline and automate finance processes to free up resources with enhanced access of information to support business decision making. The team reviews and redesigns key finance processes, implement relevant technology tools to eliminate manual work, enables easy access to information for decision making and enhance sales forecast and budgeting processes. To streamline process end to end, the team needs to work with other functions which will provide input to the finance processes. One of the key strategic initiative is to expand Anaplan footprint within Manulife to streamline process.
This role will be key in the successful delivery of Anaplan within Manulife across regions and segments by engaging internal customers, project teams and stakeholders; lead and scale up the capacity of the Global Finance Anaplan Centre of Excellence; responsible for the build and design of Anaplan solutions; and will be the point of contact for Anaplan knowledge, advice, planning, enhancement, and implementation.
The successful candidate will become the go to person for issues relating to Anaplan and will both support and drive ongoing improvements to the existing models and wider architecture while at the same time providing advice and guidance to other users as they become increasingly familiar with Anaplan's modelling capabilities.
After the successful launch and adoption of Anaplan, this role’s career development will advance to launch other technology tools and process improvement within Finance organization.

We are looking for someone with:
Strong financial model building skills on Anaplan, Certified Master Anaplanner (CMA), and potentially other EPM tools e.g. Excel, Hyperion, Essbase
Experience in support global internal customers across regions
Strong understanding of financial fundamentals and commercial drivers
Comprehensive understanding of ERP data sources, ETLs, data structure, integration and governance capability
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Tact and clear verbal and written communication skills are necessary to facilitate solutions and resolve problems
Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills with the proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgment in assessing business issues and risks in a dynamic environment
Execution-oriented with strong focus to deliver targeted outcomes
Applies industry best practices within daily work and continues to participate in professional development by reading publications, networking and participating in professional organizations
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Nice to Haves:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or other related disciplines. CPA designation an advantage
5+ years of hands-on experience in finance function processes including consolidation, management reporting, forecasting/budgeting, and finance operations
2+ years of people management and with strong leadership experience
2+ years of hands-on experience in designing and building Anaplan models
On the job you will:
Manage the delivery of large and complex end to end Anaplan implementation projects including oversight of requirement gathering, solution design and build, oversight of testing, business readiness, training material preparation through to go-live and post go-live support
Partner with cross functional teams to understand business use cases and translate them into efficiently built Anaplan models
Lead and support team colleagues to ensure best practices are adhered to in terms of developing the Anaplan architecture
Advise and coach other Anaplan developers and the wider Finance team in building and managing Anaplan models, work with vendors to understand new developments and impacts on all models
Design, build, test and maintain Anaplan models for key stakeholders to meet the needs of the business processes, fully utilizing the functionality of the Anaplan platform
Present complex technical concepts and ideas in business forums and management meetings
Ensure robust framework of controls in place across the Anaplan landscape
Enable end-users to engage with the models by incorporating dashboards and visualization
Fully document all process and technical deliverables
Special projects will arise from time to time that will require strong financial knowledge, strong analytical and organizational skills with an innovative mindset. This position will be responsible for ad-hoc projects as required by senior management pertaining to the introduction of new services, technology tools and processes designed
