　　Job Summary:

　　Plans, organizes and evaluates daily operations of the vascular lab. Supervises all the technical, clerical and students from the UMDNJ vascular program. Daily vascular rounds to review vascular orders, patient history and reasoning for specific vascular studies. Communicate with physicians and nursing staff when vascular orders or reason for study is not clear. Coordinates and interfaces with patient billing department and laboratory. Assist the medical director in establishing budgets, procedures and policies. Responsible for establishing and implementation of policies and procedures for the vascular lab and periodically updating these policies. Evaluate new equipment prior to purchase. Review all billing information prior to submission. Marketing and public relations with regard to the vascular lab. Performance of studies and related tasks when necessary. Provide preliminary interpretation of all studies performed in the laboratory prior to review by the medial director or medical staff. Ensure quality of the lab is maintained to meet standards set by the intersocietal commission for the accreditation of vascular labs. Insure that [unit/department/division] is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.

　　Job Qualifications:

　　Graduate of an accredited school of vascular tech except those who have been grandfathered by the society of vascular ultrasound based on years in the field. Registered vascular tech, 5-8 years experience in vascular tech.
