Overview
The Intuit Global Business Services (GBS) organization is responsible for the purchasing of goods & services, negotiating contracts, and paying our suppliers to enable Intuit to Power Prosperity Around the World. GBS’s PMO partners closely with the tech and finance partners, as well as other cross functional teams (e.g., Legal, CS&D, HR, Product. etc.) to drive transformational change in this Source-to-Report space and within the company.
Are you a PM who is passionate about back office finance, high-impact projects, and portfolio management? Join GBS’s PMO as the M&A and Portfolio Mgmt Lead. Your role will be critical as the GBS representative on many high visibility/fast paced projects in the M&A space and global strategy work, as well as managing the portfolio of GBS projects including multi-year roadmapping, reporting progress, and ongoing program op mechs. The individual in this role will need to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout Finance and Intuit and work as a team player and player coach. This role is a unique combination of dynamic, fast-paced high growth projects and structured program/portfolio management work.
What you'll bring
Minimum 7-10 years in Program/ Project Management at a technology company, with experience managing multiple concurrent complex projects
BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or other relevant degree or equivalent work experience. MBA or Master’s degree or Professional Project Management Certification desirable
M&A integration experience a plus
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods and tools such as Aha!, Jira, Google Sheets, and/or Smartsheet
Excellent time management and organizational skills and expertise in establishing guidelines in these areas for others
Ability to develop and execute a successful project / program roadmap, anticipate challenges and proactively head off obstacles
Excellent communication skills across a variety of audiences including: technical, non-technical, and senior leadership
Experience with P2P systems (Coupa, Oracle eBiz, and/or Concur) and with back office finance operations and accounting exposure
People management experience required, specifically in managing or coaching Senior and Staff Program/Project Managers
Excellent leadership Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment, and ability to influence at all levels and effectively manage conflict between multiple teams with differing business requirements
How you will lead
Manage multiple projects from planning through delivery, directing the project team, and influencing stakeholders
Develop high-quality project management plans & work breakdowns, key milestones, and deliverables with regular communication of status, risks, and escalations to stakeholders
Prioritize, assign, and oversee the daily tasks and activities across project teams to accelerate the delivery of the most strategic work
Execute and manage all GBS planning and execution of Merger & Acquisition activities as part of GBS and a broader cross-functional M&A team. Continuously refine and improve the existing GBS playbook to enable speed
Build and manage the GBS multi-year project roadmap, creating key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure, monitor and report out on project health, progress and progress towards achieving GBS priorities
Own key GBS CI PMO Operating mechanisms to effectively manage our projects, provide visibility to leadership and drive team
Lead and coach team of program/project managers through their daily work and career development
In collaboration with the GBS change management and Training team, develop and execute thoughtful change management and communications plans to drive adoption of the transformational changes we are driving, to achieve GBS
