　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for supervises completion and continuation of preventative maintenance program as well as corrective maintenance on building equipment and grounds.

　　Demonstrates the ability to:

　　Performs a variety of general maintenance, preventative maintenance & repairs

　　Troubleshoot breakdowns and repair malfunctioning HVAC/R systems and components; utilize measuring and testing instruments

　　Operate, maintain and repair, adjust HVAC & Refrigeration equipment, systems and controls in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation and maintenance manuals & manufacturers specifications.

　　Install compressors, evaporators, motors, ducts, and piping as well as mechanical/electrical controls; read and interpret blueprints/diagrams

　　Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on bearings, pumps, motors, shaft alignments and fans; document all maintenance/repair actions and manage equipment records.

　　Responsible for servicing products and equipment

　　Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems

　　Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, to diagnose and repair units

　　Keeps current all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair

　　Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Education: High School or GED preferred.

　　Licensure/Certification: Refrigeration Licenses (within 6 months of hire), Current Driver’s License.

　　Experience: Minimal one-year hospital or commercial experience required.
