Responsible for providing preventative maintenance including a safe and sanitary environment to the plant and surrounding grounds.Key Responsibilities:Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote Teamwork at all times.Be on call, as needed.Assess maintenance and repair problems with follow-up.Perform minor plumbing and electrical work and repair equipment when breakdowns occur to maintain production.Learn set-up, operation, adjustments and operating parameters of production equipment.Develop open communication with machine operators, department supervisors and managers.Bring production equipment to a good operating standard and improve work order system and develop a return to service, i.e., production certification.Repair equipment when breakdowns occur to maintain production.Paint any necessary areas, as needed.Work on new installation projects.Perform walk-throughs as assigned to spot possible problems.Remedy any unsafe conditions ASAP.Safety must be first priority and repair aesthetic defects i.e., seals, hinges, hangers, etc. when production maintenance and breakdowns allow.Perform other duties, as assigned.What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:RequiredHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum two years related experience and/or training.PreferredPrior forklift operation experienceForklift certificationPay Range: $19.03 to $21.32 per hourTotal Compensation:At Pacific Seafood, your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
