JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: MaintenanceTechnician Department: Maintenance Reports to: Maintenance Team LeaderSummary: This position is responsible for executing reliability basedtasks such as preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and productchangeover setup. Assist shift leaders with resolving production lineand support equipment reliability issues. Documenting and communicatingmaintenance activities through the use of our web based maintenancesystem. Responsibilities: - Participate in product changeovers,preventative maintenance, and repairs. - Provide technical assistance ininvestigating equipment issues, develop necessary materials list andlabor requirements. - Identify potential machine, system and componentfailures. - Identify opportunities for process or manufacturingimprovements. - Document and communicate maintenance activities throughthe use of ?Smart sheet? maintenance system and SAP work orders. -Assist in the training of process technicians and other plant associatesin Good Maintenance Practices. - Assist with maintaining inventory forall molds/change parts and spare parts. - Assist with the maintenanceand preparation of molds and tooling. - Properly tag defective partsthat have been removed because of damage or use; initiate the rebuildingor repair of such parts as necessary. - Maintain the cleanliness of themaintenance work areas. - Must complete and maintain certification inElectrical Maintenance, First Aid/CPR/AED. - Initiate action(s) for foodsafety issues and report the issue(s) and action(s) taken to a member ofthe Food Safety Team. - Responsible for maintaining ISO Standards. -Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company?sdiscretion. Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED preferred.Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent work experiencealso preferred. - Highly motivated, ability to persevere when faced withdifficult obstacles, outside the box thinking. - Proven safety, quality,and attendance record. - Team oriented. - Strong diagnostic skills andmechanical aptitude. - Experience in troubleshooting and repairs ofautomated production equipment, blow molding, injection molding,material handling systems, and auxiliary support equipment. - Qualifiedto perform basic electrical diagnostics and repairs. - Goodunderstanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. - Familiarity withPLC, robotics, and servo controls is a plus. - Working knowledge ofplastics and processing theory in blow molding and injectionapplications. - Able to work 40 \| 60 hours per week and covervacations. - On call as scheduled for 24 hours for emergency response. -Must have all required hand tools. - Must have reliabletransportation. - Ability to bend, reach and move around facility. -Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. - Ability to work in fast pacedenvironment. - Ability to work on aerial platforms up to 20 ft.
