**[SCOPE:[ The primary responsibility of the maintenance technician is to inspect, repair, and install cranes, hoists, or complete crane systems through the use of acquired electrical and mechanical skills as they pertain to the crane and hoist industry.
**[General Duties and Responsibilities[:
[Maintenance technicians are expected to be knowledgeable on the electrical and mechanical aspects of the cranes and hoists serviced by Engineered Systems, Inc. Participation in service schools or other training opportunities, as arranged by Engineered Systems, Inc. will be expected. Maintenance technicians will typically undergo field training under a qualified lead man, complemented by in house inspection and electrical training.
[Maintenance technicians are expected to fill out all required paperwork completely, promptly, and accurately. This paperwork may include time sheets, expense reports, accident forms, load test certificates, and job cards. Time sheets are required to be turned in at the end of each day and if the technician is off duty at the time it is to be called in to the territory Service Manager by 8:00 am the next business day. All time worked must be accurately and timely recorded.
[Maintenance technicians are representatives of Engineered Systems, Inc., and as such should be alert to the needs of ESIs customers for all products and services that the Company offers. Maintenance technicians are responsible for developing and maintaining good relationships with all ESI customers through excellent service, conduct and attitude.

Provide repairs to customer overhead cranes, hoists, and/or complete crane systems.Identify and order parts as necessary and to make repairs.Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections performed.Assist with the fabrication and installation of new crane and hoist systems.Operate Company vehicles, to include hauling a trailer.Work from elevated heights, to include the use and operation of platforms, lifts and ladders ranging from 20 feet high to in excess of 100 feet high.Work safely with high voltages ranging from 24 volts to 600 volts AC/DC single and three phase with the potential of being energized.Adhere to all applicable safety requirements promulgated by ESI and its customers.Exercise clear, unimpaired judgment and react quickly to address and remediate any dangerous situations that might be encountered.
