The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of industrial machinery and facilities. Additionally, the technician will perform inspection and documentation of machinery problems and safety issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Strictly abide by safety procedures, PPE and regulations while performing workProcess work orders to conduct preventative maintenance and repairs of facility and equipment ensuring all activities are properly documentedInspect and maintain safety controls to ensure all equipment operates in a safe manorSupport production personnel on proper operation and use of equipmentRead and understand electrical and mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, specifications, codes, electrical formulas, and handbooks.Fabricate, weld and cut with a torchOperate lathe, milling machine and drill press as requiredTroubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial equipment, including:Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issuesPLC Ladder logic (ability to program a plus)Solder and build cable assembliesServo and variable frequency drivesBend and install EMT and heavy wall conduit.Use and understand NEC Electrical Code BookRead micrometers and calipers,Perform minor plumbing with copper or iron pipeOperate powered equipment including, but not limited to cranes, forklifts, work savers, platform lifts and aerial liftsJOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to perform maintenance tasks safely (lift, twist and work in sitting, squatting, standing and elevated positions) to avoid injuries and accidentsCertification in related field and minimum of three years industrial equipment maintenance experience. Equivalent experience to be considered, in lieu of certification.Working knowledge of Microsoft applications used for compiling data and work records.Ability and willingness to work midnight shift.
