Perform installations, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, maintain and repair facility and production equipment and fixtures. Equipment assembly, pneumatic and hydraulic installation, machining and modifying parts, equipment debug and safety feature installation. Assist machine operators with mechanical set-up and operation of production machines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Identify process improvement opportunities and work with cell associates and Supervisors to evaluate and implement improvements with approval and in coordination with Supervisors.
· Perform corrections and adjustments on machinery and equipment to maintain optimum productivity and quality.
Support TPM/CLAIR program and perform preventive maintenance on all cell machines.Coordinates with maintenance personnel to insure smooth shift transitions and communication of cell maintenance needs.Trouble-shoot and debug various types of processing and packaging machines· Utilize and understand blueprints, sketches and electrical schematics.
· Communicate with supervisor regarding technical information.
· Install pneumatic and hydraulic components from schematics.
· Operate a wide variety of machining equipment and shop tools to fabricate new parts and perform modifications as need it for repairs
· Install align, rig and erect all types of equipment safely.
· Weld with MIG, TIG, stick, and oxy-acetylene.
· Complete documentation, time records and material logs in CMM system
· Perform building and grounds maintenance
· Perform testing before putting machines and/or equipment into service to ensure safe start-up and operation
· Work using proper Lockout/Tagout procedures and wear proper PPE and follow all safety practices
· Maintain good housekeeping and hazard free work area according to safety rules, processes and procedures
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· 3-5 years in a manufacturing or industrial mechanic related environment.
· PLC experience.
· High School diploma preferred.
· Well-developed interpersonal skills.
· Prioritize projects and a strong sense of urgency.
· Familiarity with Maximo system or similar.
· Hand tools
· Must supply all basic hand tools as defined by Smead Manufacturing Company
· Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
· Must have an excellent work ethic, a high performance level, and above all, a positive and professionalattitude
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
