Maintenance Technician (Experienced)
Location: Taylor, MI
Pay: $25/hour
Shifts: Evening shift – 4:00pm to 12:30am / Overnight shift - 12:00 am to 8:30 am

Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician will be asked to maintain the Manufacturing facility by utilizing their experience with Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Computer Controls. This includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installation of machinery relating to bakery food processing equipment, physical structures, mechanical systems, and electrical systems. The Maintenance Technician must possess an awareness and understanding of how to work safely on mechanical and electrical equipment in a production environment.

Job Requirements:
3-5+ years in manufacturing maintenance
3 - 5 years Electrical experience
2 - 3 years bakery experience a plus
Must possess basic machining skills & knowledge in industrial electrical control wiring
Able to troubleshooting, pneumatics, light industrial machines for food production, packaging equipment, fabrication and welding.
Responsibilities:
Position is responsible for ensuring equipment integrity and timely repair.
Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs (troubleshooting of equipment issues).
Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility support equipment.
Inspect, operate and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and validate work performed.
Ensure safety by following all company policies including safety rules, procedures and Lock-out / Tag-out procedures, Good.
Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), personal safety standards, food safety standards as well as OSHA standards.
Troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment as well as all plant electrical and mechanical systems including motors, instrumentation, distribution, feed control systems and develop sustainable solutions accordingly.
Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted. Maintain complete records of work performed using software, work orders, detailed logs and have good communication skills across all groups/departments.
Assist with equipment change overs and line startups, troubleshooting issues as needed.
Identify required parts and maintain current inventories, and parts reorder lists.
Assure that all products are manufactured to the highest standard of quality.
Participates in Continuous Improvement, also provides suggestions to improve processes and participates on team projects.
Repair and maintain boilers, water heaters, water conditioning equipment, and all water distribution systems
Monitor the main electrical panel and troubleshoot as necessary
Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Physical Demands:
Able to stand for up to 10 hours, while working with and around machinery.
Able to stoop, bend and crouch on a regular basis.
Able to lift 60 pounds once per hour and 10 to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Able to sweep, mop, and do general, as well as detailed, cleaning.
Able to climb ladders.
