JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Details Job Location Ripon - Ripon, WI PositionType Hourly - Production Job Shift 1st Shift- Day Description JobSummary: As a Maintenance Technician I, you will maintain all productionequipment and other physical assets of the facility and providetechnical support and mechanical abilities to others as assigned.Essential Functions: Maintain production equipment in safe, optimaloperating condition throughout the plant. Utilize problem solving skillsto maintain productivity, quality and safety on all equipment.Communicate the proper care and maintenance of equipment to productionpersonnel. Report irregularities to appropriate leadership. Follow allrequired safety procedures such as: PPE\'s, Ergonomics, ChemicalHazards, etc. Assist with preventative maintenance and repair ofproduction equipment from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendorspecifications. Document all repairs in the maintenance repair requestprogram. Report machine parts and items needed by/for other departments.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possess good mechanical knowledge andabilities to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Must have welding andfabrication skills for design/build projects and equipment repairs.Knowledge of shop tools, equipment and maintenance practices. Ability tohandle multiple tasks and projects. Ability to remain organized andself-directed in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in a teamenvironment. Ability to interface with a variety of individuals orgroups on a frequent basis. Ability to work with limited direction andsupervision, while demonstrating good judgment and strict confidence.Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.Must successfully complete any training or certification coursesrequired to support or strengthen position. Ability to read, interpretand follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and otherrelated materials. Excellent verbal and written communication skillsincluding strong customer service skills. Must communicate appropriateinformation accurately and clearly as needed. WorkingConditions/Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds fromfloor to waist and waist to shoulder height. Able to work in staticpositions for more than 15 minutes and work in tight spaces in andaround machinery. Required to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periodsof time. Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or usecontrols, tools or equipment. May require the ability to use a keyboardand other office equipment.
