We are looking for:
A Maintenance Supervisor for our Aerospace plant in Wrexham, UK,. As part of the GBU Composites Materials, Wrexham plays a crucial role in serving the aerospace business of the GBU.
We count on you for:
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements related to maintenance and repair of production equipment, plant and material handling facilities.
Ensuring health and safety checks, risk assessments and safe systems of work are in place and followed by the maintenance team.
Interacting with the work permitting process as needed and ensuring that all applicable safety procedures are followed.
Supervising the maintenance team including monitoring training records,sickness and staff performance, ensuring service is effectively planned, achieved and continuously improved.
Providing daily coaching and supervision for the maintenance team.
Responding as necessary to directly manage and execute against priority jobs (P0+P1).
Participating in the development of quality job plans by working with the maintenance planner.
Ensuring the weekly schedule is executed as planned.
Ensuring that jobs are properly completed and closed according to the requests.
Giving feedback to the planner on the actual vs plan to improve the planning.
Participating in reliability and continuous improvement meetings or actions.

Managing contractors when needed.

Knowledge/Expertise
Time served engineering apprenticeship.
Minimum ONC/HNC in Engineering (ideally both mechanical and electrical).
COMPEX qualified (advantageous)
Basic Safety Related work based training
Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance regimes for all building elements – mechanical, electrical, public health and building fabric
Knowledge of Statutory compliance and Health & Safety legislation
Knowledge of SAP ERP system
Resilience and able to work under pressure in a busy environment and meet deadlines
Effective communicator with a positive can-do attitude
Ability to lead by example and have a positive impact on the team
Supervisory / team management experience is required
