In this role, you will set up an operation of manual and automated equipment, including drills, lathes grinders/finishers, welding, oxy/fuel, forklifts, saws, and paint booth.Key Responsibilities:
Work from process sheets, blueprints, or other written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasksManeuver large, awkward, or heavy parts manually or with a craneSetup, operate, and tend machines used to process componentsInstall align and lock dies, punches, blades, or other machine fixtures to ensure safe operation of the machineMaintain machine and work area in a clean and safe mannerCheck and inspect operation against predetermined tolerancesWork safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shiftWork in other areas or departments as assignedKey Competencies:
Requires average math skills, simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in EnglishMust be physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning componentsMust be able to work scheduled hours and comply with the companys timekeeping policy and all other company policiesMust be able to consistently stand for an entire shiftAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environmentKnowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledgeAbility to work in a team settingAccuracyReliabilitySchedule:
