They undertake restoration projects on preserves and maintain equipment. The Equipment Operator/Maintenance Mechanic operates heavy machinery, leads work teams, remove exotic species and/or conducts species monitoring and manages livestock, if necessary. They will serve on the fire crew and assist with inventory and purchasing of machinery. (e.g.; lawn mower, chainsaw, tractor, backhoe, bulldozer, dump truck, two-way radio, etc.). * Experience working with electrical, plumbing, welding, and concrete. * Experience coordinating teams to complete construction and repair projects.* Must have a valid driver's license.
