Job Description : The Lead Mechanic performs advanced level preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all packaging equipment and systems. This role includes conducting line changeovers and mechanical set-up of all equipment in accordance with the packaging schedule. Additionally, the Lead Mechanic provides direction and training to other staff members and performs technical and specialized mechanical set-up duties.

Responsibilities:

Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal, and local laws.

Conduct required monthly preventative maintenance on all packaging equipment.

Perform troubleshooting and repairs of packaging and processing equipment, and mechanical and control systems.

Perform scheduled and other maintenance of all packaging equipment and execute specialized and critical repairs.

Perform packaging line set-ups and changeovers as needed.

Qualifications:

Troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with aseptic techniques, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Proficiency in preventive maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.

Experience with PLC troubleshooting, wiring, and industrial maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and use tools such as voltmeters.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
