JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Performs skilled maintenance work in thepreventative maintenance, alteration, repair and cleaning of buildings,grounds and equipment. Essential Duties Performs skilled maintenancework in one or more trades. Performs carpentry and minor masonry work.Performs repairs and maintenance on overhead doors. Repairs minor tearsand rips on rubber membrane roofing. Performs minor electrical,plumbing, and building repairs. Maintains and performs repairs on smallengines, water tube boilers, high pressure steam boiler, heating andcooling systems. Operates high pressure washer. Maintains floors andcarpeting; operates related equipment. Repair, maintain and replacesignage. Operates and maintains ground equipment such as snowplows, snowblowers, lawnmowers, power broom, power riding vacuum, front loader andheavy trucks; and shovels snow. Maintains water system, HVAC systems,including chillers, cooling towers, evaporators/condensers, humidifiers,boilers and their related Air Handler Units, VAV boxes, pumps, valvesand related components, air compressors, digital and pneumatic controls.Washes, paints and repairs windows as well as washing outside windows,utilizing a high reach boom. Repairs roads and sidewalks, tarring,painting and patching. Empties and transports garbage to designatedareas; unloads freight. Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings andother technical specifications. Cleans, unplugs and repairs sewer systemusing power equipment. Paints or assists in painting. Prepares andmaintains required reports and forms. Assists in budget preparation formaintenance operation. Performs all aspects of maintenance and repairson jet bridges including all jet bridges support equipment. Performsmaintenance and repairs of baggage belt conveyors/carousels, gear boxesand bearings. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES Performs related functions asassigned. Knowledge of standard practices in one or moretrades. Ability to learn aviation radio procedures, Federal AviationAdministration (FAA) regulations, and TSA procedures and regulations.Ability to use and care for all tools and equipment related to the job.Ability to read, interpret and utilize blueprints and other technicalspecifications. Ability to establish and maintain effective workingrelationships with administration, staff and the public. Ability tofollow written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively bothorally and in writing. Ability to operate heavy equipment (i.e. frontloader, heavy snow plows). Ability to work the required hours of theposition.
