These pillars form the foundation of our company-wide commitment to sustainability, helping us achieve our ambitious goals through our wide-ranging initiatives.How You'll Perform the RoleThe Maintenance Mechanic plans and performs work that requires thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical or electronic principles, wiring specification codes, properties of various materials, principles of operation and the application of electrical or electronic equipment such as motors, switches, control boards, generators, circuit breakers, electronic inspection units, etc.Troubleshoot & Perform repairs on bag machinery and support equipment as directed by maintenance supervisor.Comply with all safe work procedures when performing tasks, such as but not limited to Lock Out / Tag Out, & Confined Space.Repair machine defects found other than scheduled when discovered.Report any machine defects identified during repairs that cannot be corrected to Maintenance Manager.Maintain proper housekeeping on the job site.Improve skill level either by training or on the job experience.Be a team player, assisting fellow mechanics or other employees requiring help.Work required overtime to complete repairs of down equipment.Strive to perform work in a timely manner, reducing machine down time to a minimum.Maintain a "zero defect" attitude and perform repairs once.Ask questions if not familiar with the repair or procedure.* List of expected skill areas to be held or obtained, (not all are required):MachinistPipefitterElectro-pneumatic troubleshootingMechanical troubleshootingMachine assembly and installationWelding, brazing, burningPart rebuildingBuilding repair, general maintenanceMachine overhaulAir compressor maintenanceWhat We Need From YouHigh school diploma or G.E.D.2-5 years' Experience in Equipment Maintenance / Preventative Maintenance ProceduresTechnical understanding, zeal and ability to deal with uncertaintyUnderstanding of Safety proceduresExperience with Power ToolsCritical decision making abilityFlexibility and adaptability and ability to focus and pay attention to detailExperience in Industrial Manufacturing a plusAbility to work 12 hour shifts, rotating days and nights monthly. 2-2-3 ScheduleWhat You'll Get From UsBenefitsWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance (including Telehealth options) as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
