Primary Role Performs and/or assists in the replacement, repair, preventative maintenance, calibration, and modification of equipment and facilities such as, but not limited to, level or pressure transmitters, transducers, digital recorders, data collection devices, generators, chemical feed equipment, analytical measuring devices, electrical distribution equipment, piping systems, process control equipment, telemetry equipment, etc. Key Accountabilities * Performs and/or assists in the replacement, repair, preventative maintenance, calibration, and modification of equipment and facilities such as, but not limited to, centrifugal and positive displacement machinery, transducers, recorders, data collection devices, diesel engines, generators, chemical feed equipment, analytical measuring devices, electrical distribution equipment, piping systems, process control equipment, telemetry equipment, etc. * May be assigned to perform any responsibility that lies within the capabilities of the employee based on experience, knowledge, qualifications, and training. * May be assigned to work all or a portion of scheduled hours at any production facility provided that they start and finish of the day is at normal reporting station. Knowledge/Skills * Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and computer theories, applications, and hardware configurations * Thorough understanding of the distribution system network including, but not limited to, gradients, capacities, interconnections, mapping, service territory and facility locations to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities and related appurtenances. * Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and safety practices as well as state and federal regulations applicable to area of responsibility. * Able to perform the essential functions and physical requirements of the job. * Basic computer programming skills and abilities as it relates to the process control of flow, pressure, chemical, and electrical systems. * Must have and maintain appropriate valid California Driver's License. * Able to operate related Company equipment and vehicles. Experience/Education * 2-5 years of experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and calibrating electrical and electronic equipment. * High School diploma or equivalent. * An associate's degree in Instrumentation/Electrical Technology is preferred. * Must have and maintain certification as Water Distribution Operator Grade 1 by the State of California Water Resources Control Board, within one year of hire or reclassification date.
